1aurent: Hey there :3 Someone linked me your URL saying you are doing (or completed?) the RMIT course- animation and interactive media? I am in year 12 and hoping to get into that course! Would you recommend it? And if so do you think you could give some advice :'D Sorry for annoying question
This course is great! If you really want to know about animation in all different forms go to the RMIT animation course. I’m currently in 2nd year and am taking, 2D, 3D, life drawing and Design studio (which is a compulsory subject that is pretty much a “make your own production” class). I love it, and I love the people in it.
The first year might be a little tedious at the start as you don’t actually get to do much animation but it teaches you mainly about pre-production and introduces you to all forms of animation. 2nd year means you can start to specialize into what area you want to get into. And 3rd year you mainly work on your major project for the year!
Advice to getting in? Have a decent folio and just be friendly :D.
I guess there isn’t really any specific requirements to have, maybe have a folio for your art and a production one which shows you’re competent in storyboarding and what not.
You should check out the 3rd year’s end of year projects that i think should be aired in acmi (I think in the holidays sometime).

Limping bobble head man
A TVPaint exercise. Just fiddling with the program. I have to say I love it so much better than flash. Of course I’m not use to it but I’ll get there. Its just nice to have some control over the paint and drawing aspect of it all.

Programs used: Maya, After Effects, Photoshop
A remake of the Office Scene from “The Incredibles”
It didn’t have to be a replica but should have at least created the foundation of the scene.
Considering I knew basically NOTHING of Maya at the start of the year, I’m decently happy with how this turned out.
